Michael Hill Jewellers proudly supports the arts, music and sports because we believe that creativity and inspired living are all around us.
Recently, we have served as primary sponsor of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition, a biennial event for emerging young violinists from all over the world. Since its inauguration in 2001, the competition has catapulted to international recognition and has achieved global standing. It was awarded membership in the prestigious World Federation of Music Competitions (Geneva) in 2004 and has become a much-anticipated and enjoyed highlight in the New Zealand and international musical calendar.
Sir Michael's private golf course, The Hills, carved from a former deer farm near Arrowtown, New Zealand, was selected in 2007 to host the prestigious New Zealand Open, where it has since been famously held for years.
